Thomas T. Miller, 86, of Heron Point in Chestertown, passed away on Wednesday, June 21. Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Rip and Es Miller of Annapolis.

He attended Annapolis Elementary School then went to the Admiral Farragut Academy where he was a standout in football. He was recruited to play at Duke University where he graduated with a degree in economics. He also was part of the Air Force ROTC and served in military after graduation. He returned home to work for the McCormick Spice Company where he traveled the world buying spices. He started his 36 year career at McCormick driving a mayonnaise truck and stocking grocery store spice shelves and worked his way up through the company retiring as Vice President of Purchasing.

Tom was a man of great intellect and curiosity who loved life. He was a voracious reader, he was an accomplished painter and ship model maker and was always eager to sing a song or play his music. He spent much of his time with his family and friends sailing the Chesapeake, hosting wonderful dinners and creating a Christmas wonderland at his home.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Susan Rule Miller. He is survived by his two sisters, Pat and Joan and by his three sons Mike, Bruce and Doug along with five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
