Mr. Yates was born on October 17, 1951 and passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016.

Mr. Yates was a resident of Purlear, North Carolina at the time of his passing.

He was married to Deborah.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday December 1 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church in Purlear with Rev. Mike Stamper Rev. Darrell Poole and Pastor Joey Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wilkes Ministry of H.O.P.E. PO Box 1375 Wilkesboro NC 28697 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38105-9956.
