GREENSBORO - Velma DeBause Rollins, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.at Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel with Rev. Michael Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.

Mrs. Rollins was born in Halifax, VA to the late Edgar and Fannie Mae DeBause. She was the owner and operator of Rollins Body Works. She was a former secretary of the Independent Garage Owners.

She was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, doing crafts and collecting stuff. She loved life and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Rollins, and parents; two grandchildren; and three half-sisters, Louise Moore, Pattie Phillips and Ruth Griggs. She is survived by her children, Theresa Boyd of Graham, Deborah Sullivan of Pleasant Garden and James Cassada of Greensboro and Gloria Orrock of Portsmouth, VA; ten grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Martin and Pearlie Bullock; brother Chris DeBause; and beloved cat, Courage.
