Vernie Mae Wadley, age 75, was born January 5, 1941, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Houston York and Edna (Redwine) York. She had lived in Hugo all of her life. Vernie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar L. Wadley; one son, Lee Wadley and two brothers, James York and Houston York.

Vernie was a homemaker and had worked as a clerk at Ford's Grocery in Hugo. She enjoyed reading the Bible and attending Springs Chapel Church of Christ. She also enjoyed cooking, helping other people and spending time outdoors enjoying God's beautiful handy work.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: one son, John Wadley and wife, Jody of Sacramento, California; and grandchildren, Courtney Kriegle and Collin Wadley along with many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services to be held at a later date.
