Vernon was born on June 6, 1925 and passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Vernon was a resident of Georgia at the time of passing.

He graduated high school in Leah and was drafted into the U. S. Army where he operated a tank in France during World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Damascus Baptist Church in Leah with Dr. David Stockton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation at the Damascus Baptist Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on April 17, 2018.
