Vernon "Indian" Charles Blanke entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Preceeded in death by his daughter, Natoshia Blanke. He is survived by his sisters; Elma "Weetsie" Edwards, Ruth "Snookie" Bono (Walter), Wayne M. Blanke, Debra Morvant, Byrlene Lowery (Mark) and the late Joseph Blanke, Jr. and Marcus Blanke. Son of the late Albertha Rita Thiel Blanke and Joseph John Blanke, Sr. He is also survived by his loving companion, Debi White for many years, numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Age 57, a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. He was a professional painter as an independent contractor. "Indian" enjoyed fishing, boiling crawfish, enjoyed his Mardi Gras, fun loving person who loved life and was loved by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at First Baptist Church, 305 St. Bernard Hwy., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers and for those who desiring, memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church in Chalmette to further the Kingdom of God.
