Vernon was born on January 11, 1922 and passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Vernon was a resident of South Sioux City, Nebraska at the time of passing.

He attended school at Blessed Sacrament and Central High School.

He was a World War II Veteran, serving 3 years in the Army in Europe and the South Pacific.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, IA. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a Rosary/Scriptural Wake service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Vernon was born in Sioux City, IA on January 11, 1922, the son of Carl B. and Maude E. (Hunt) Fleck.
