Vincent D. Muntzinger, 96, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on June 6, 2017. He was born on July 19, 1920 in Convoy, OH to the late Arthur and Alma (Ohlendorf) Muntzinger. Vincent graduated from Convoy High School and attended Purdue Tech School and International Business College. He worked for 45 years for Essex Wire and United Tech. He served 3 ½ years in WWII as Master Sergeant Chief Check. He was awarded a Certificate of Merit for his service. After his military duty, he served as Treasurer of Indiana Dist Walther League and a member of Avon Prayers Emmaus Church. Vincent was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and its Men's Club. After retirement he was an antique dealer and repaired and refinished furniture. He also enjoyed NASCAR. At 90 years-old he drove by himself a NASCAR at 104 mph. He volunteered at the Embassy, Community Harvest Food Bank, mentoring at the church Rescue Mission or Project Mercy.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen (Schumm) Muntzinger; children, Mark Muntzinger (E. Doreen) of Fort Wayne, Eunice Ream (Gary) of Atlanta, GA; and Tim Muntzinger of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Angie Puthoff (Joe) of Indianapolis, Blake Muntzinger of Phoenix, AZ, Tom Ream of Atlanta, GA, Logan Ream of San Diego, CA, Laura Muntzinger of Fort Wayne, and Nathan Ream of Atlanta, GA; and great-grandchildren, Eli and Tenley Puthoff.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 3pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8pm at Klaehn, Fahl, and Melton Funeral Home (6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819). Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Covington Memorial Gardens (8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804).
