Vincent Joseph Cancienne, 75, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Luling, LA. Vincent is survived by his wife Karen Friloux Cancienne of 51 years; his son Timmy (Christy), son Jeff (Debbie), daughter Alaine Gregory (Nicholas) and his 7 grandchildren Logan (22), Caitlyn (18), Cassidy (18), Abby (15), Brayden (8), Lakyn (3), and Landon (3). Brother of Lynn Michael (Linda), Lucy Chauvin (D.J.), Claudette Mollere (Gregory), and Richard (Dianne), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Freida C. Cancienne, as well as his brother Peter (Gloria). Vincent was born on March 10, 1942 in Des Allemands, LA. He graduated from Hahnville High School in 1960 and is a veteran of the US Army. Vincent was employed with Monsanto for over 30 years. He was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling. Vincent was an active man who was deeply involved in hunting, fishing, and coaching for the majority of his life. He enjoyed LSU football and baseball, and was known for his elaborate stories.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
