Virgil was born on January 9, 1921 and passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016.

Virgil was a resident of Somerset, Ohio at the time of his passing. He was formerly from New Albany, Indiana.

He was a 1940 graduate of Somerset High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart for injuries while in France.

He was married to Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 16 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the VENSIL CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street Newark. Burial will be in the Crooksville Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions to the FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Road Lancaster Ohio 43130.
