Virginia Catherine Grigas, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2015.

Virginia was born in Elmendorf, Texas on November 20, 1928 to George and Maria Luisa Davis (nee Gallardo). On February 22, 1961, she married the love of her life, the late Donald Anthony Grigas in San Antonio, Texas.

Virginia worked for many years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in San Antonio before becoming a military wife, and following her husband Don through his many Air Force assignments, setting up house all around the World; in Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Florida, Texas, England, and Spain. They moved to Weslaco, Texas in 1973 to begin their retirement, and while there Virginia work for General Telephone and Electric, before officially retiring a second time and moving back home to San Antonio, Texas. Donald and Virginia relocated to Georgetown, Texas in 2009 to be closer to their daughters. Virginia became a resident at Provident Crossings Retirement Community in Round Rock last year, and she leaves many good friends there including Jo and Edna.
Virginia was active in the Weslaco Garden club, was a Brownie Troop leader and enjoyed volunteering at several hospitals and libraries after her retirement from General Telephone and Electric. She enjoyed traveling with Don (especially casino visits), jitterbug dancing, and raising prize winning African Violets.

Survivors include: daughters, Charli Ganski and husband Mike of Georgetown, TX, Janice Foulk and partner Daryl Ashley of Round Rock, TX, Patricia Grigas of Round Rock; grandchildren, Micheal Foulk, and partner Sonny Chaidez of Austin, TX, Kristin and Nicholas Ganski of Georgetown; sisters Marjorie Davis Cruz and Minnie Davis Ball both of Elmendorf, Texas, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents, her brothers, George Davis, Bill Davis, Tom Davis and sister Frances Davis Salinas.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
