Virginia Zepeda Trujillo was born on May 31, 1930 in Pasadena, Texas. She passed away on November 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy and her daughter, Cynthia and her siblings Zoraida Diaz, Salomon Zepeda, Albert Zepeda, Gustavo Zepeda, Gabriel Zepeda, Doris Oralia Betancourt, Millie Lawson, Amparo De Luna and Maria Ysabel Zepeda. She is survived by her brother, Richard Zepeda, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a wonderful cook and she and two of her sisters owned and managed a restaurant. In addition she and her sister, Millie, owned and operated a beauty salon. She was also involved in several property investments. Virginia worked at a dental lab where she met her husband Rudy. They were married 34 years. In 1959 their only child, Cynthia, was born.
Virginia was very involved in her church, Holy Name Catholic Church. Her activities included prayer group, Eucharistic ministry, church bazaar, coordinating pilgrimages to San Juan Basilica, membership in the Sacred Heart Society and serving as president of the Guadalupanas.
She was loved by all her family and will always be remembered as a prayerful and loving aunt.
Visitation will be at Heights Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a rosary service at 5:00pm. Funeral mass will be on Monday, Dec. 4 at Holy Name Catholic Church at 10am. Burial will follow after the mass at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her church, Holy Name Catholic Church, in memory of Virginia Trujillo.
