Vivian Cosette "Marshall" Reeser passed away peacefully on Monday October 30, 2017 at the age of 94, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born December 24, 1922 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Oris Doak and Thelma Bertha Harper Marshall. Vivian was one of 7 children, 6 girls and 1 boy. As a young girl, Vivian enjoyed basketball, being with her family and learning to bake. At the age of 8, Vivian and her family moved to Spencer, Oklahoma, and became charter members of the Dickson Baptist church. Vivian met Lloyd Reeser in second grade while attending Star Elementary and they remained friends through high school, graduating from Northeast High school in 1941, and marrying October 9, 1943. Lloyd was deployed to the south pacific as a Navy Seabee during World War II, returning home in 1945. During this time, Vivian moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, working in a company that provided equipment to the soldiers. Lloyd and Vivian started their family in the winter of 1947 with the birth of their daughter Anita Jean "Jeanie" Reeser. Four years later they had their son Ron Reeser born May 9, 1951.During her life, Vivian loved working as a secretary at Star Spencer High School as well as the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City. She loved baking, taking care of her family and was a devout Christian woman with strong faith and devotion. Until her passing Vivian was the last living charter member of Dickson Baptist Church. Vivian was a cancer survivor and witnessed many hard times, but through it all persevered with strength and un-wavering faith in Jesus which allowed her to live a strong, loving, dignified and compassionate life. Vivian was an avid gardener and seamstress and loved singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school, playing with babies, baking pies and visiting with friends. She remained in her home, healthy and vibrant into her 90's. Vivian is preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Lloyd; her brother; 5 sisters; and her beautiful daughter, Jeanie. She is survived by her son Ron Reeser; granddaughters, Sarah Ehrlich, Rachel Reeser, Kelley Caruso, Anna Long; grandson, Jay McDonald; 6 beautiful great-grandchildren; nieces, Janis Higgins and Debbie McKinnon; and many in-laws, cousins and friends. A viewing will be Sunday, November 5th from 1:00-4:00, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home. Vivian's life will be celebrated Monday November 6th at 10:30 am at Dickson Baptist Church, 2000 Spencer Rd. Spencer, Oklahoma, and laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
