Wallace R. Poole, 88, passed away Feb. 9, 2018. Born July 5, 1929, in Cambridge, Mass., to Peter and Inza Poole. Wallace served in the U.S. Army in the OCC during WWII, the USAF during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, as well as many other places around the world. After retiring from the military, he worked several years for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, now known as United Aircraft, as a testing engineer of gas and jet engines. Wallace lived in several places around the world, finally settling down in Pueblo in 2000. Preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Bert L. Poole; and siblings, Timmy Poole, Elaine Crandall and George Poole. Also, noting the recent death of his brother, Harold Poole, on Feb. 13, 2018. He leaves behind a son, Robert P Poole of Phoenix, Ariz.; siblings, Marjorie Uphold of Pueblo, Jimmy Poole of Toledo, Ohio, John (Rita) Poole of Pueblo and Carol Krar of Manchester, Conn.; many nieces and nephews; great friends, Nellie Harrison of Pueblo, James and Bea Miller of Colorado Springs, Sandy Gecewicz of Sun Lakes, Ariz. and many friends at St Mary’s hospital. “Many thanks for your friendship to me. You will never be lost in my memory. God bless you all.” Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Mr. Poole will be buried beside his wife, Bert, at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Vernon, Conn.
