"Do not Go Gentle into that Good Night" Walter Anker Christen Zuschke, MD, 60, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 following a valiantly fought, but short-lived battle with cancer. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on February 23, 1956 to Walter and Eva Zuschke. Walter graduated from Central High School and went on to receive his bachelor of science and medical doctor degrees from the University of Arizona; he subsequently specialized and practiced in obstetrics and gynecology. He was married to Deborah Phillips on July 29, 1989, which marked the beginning of his family of five. Walters passion included practicing and teaching medicine at Maricopa Medical Center and doting on his beloved family. He also loved putting together computers, and target shooting. Walter is survived by his three children Justin, Nichole, and Michelle, his brother Christen, his sister Eva and his loving wife Deborah. His wonderful spirit, career, and joy of spending time with his family and friends will be missed. A memorial service will be celebrated at 3:00 pm. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at A. L. Moore Grimshaw 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. Phoenix. Private family burial to follow.
