Cooper, Walter, Jr. (96) of Clearwater, FL peacefully passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017. Born in New Smyrna Beach, FL on November 1, 1920. Walter had several accomplishments: “all Emory” in baseball and represented the Business Scholar Student Council during his years at Emory University, served in the U.S. Naval Reserve promoted to the rank of Commander, joined Equitable Life Assurance Society attaining the title of CLU,



His interest included, family, golf, and croquet. He enjoyed 74 years with his wife Elizabeth S. Cooper until she passed away in February 2017.



He is survived by son Walter L. Cooper III, Birmingham, AL and Earle S. Cooper, Clearwater, FL, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth S. Cooper and daughter Carolyn Cooper Cawthon.



At his request, a private graveside service.
