Walter 'Dutch' Krogman was born in 1926 in Johnson Nebraska to Charles and Anna Krogman. A graduate of Johnson HS in 1943, Dutch was active with the York baseball team, playing in Johnson and later Auburn. A hardworking man even early in life, he went on to serve his country for many years in both World War II and the Korean War notably aboard the USS Hector from '51-'52 and the USS Hollister during WWII. A man of many talents, Walter was ever ready to use them to help anyone that needed it. His life was an example of honesty and integrity with a great love for his family and his country. The world has lost a great man, a father, a kind and generous man whose easy going warmth made him many friends through his life as a successful business owner of Krogman tile, lifetime member of American Legion #3 and an Admiral of the Nebraska Navy.

Walter is survived by his children: Cheri Erickson (Dale McClure), Doug (Sue) Krogman, Chuck (Lori) Krogman; grandchildren Kelly (Jesse) Morris, Craig Erickson, Tina Gomez, Kipp Erickson, Dawn (Mike Boyer) Arnold, Dustin Krogman, Matt (Lorena) Moser, Kerri (Jay) Merkel, Jessica (Travis) Hillman, Brian Krogman; 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years Eudice Krogman, and his sister Lydia McCabe.

A visitation with the family will be Thursday 5PM-7PM and a graveside service 11AM Friday December 8th , all at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
