Wanda K. Garrett of Euless, Texas went home to be home with the Lord on January 9, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Grapevine, Texas. Services were held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Foust Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas with graveside services and internment at Richland Springs Cemetery at 4:00 pm the same day. Pastor Johnny Kimberlin of South Euless Baptist Church officiated at both services.

Wanda was born in San Saba, Texas, May 15, 1936, to Marcus Glenn and Billie Ruth Patton. She graduated from San Saba High School after which she attended Durham Business College in Austin, Texas. On December 4, 1954, Wanda married Joe Bob Garrett of Richland Springs, Texas. They had two children and made their home in Euless, Texas.

After moving to Euless, she was employed at Bell Helicopter Textron in Hurst, Texas. While at Bell, Wanda was an administrative Assistant in the Sales and Marketing Organization. She also organized the International Sales Meetings for several years.

Wanda was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joe Bob Garrett and her son, Marcus Anson Garrett; her mother and father, Marcus Glenn Patton and Billie Ruth Patton of San Antonio, Texas; her father and mother-in-law, Anson and Macie Garrett of Richland Springs, Texas; a brother, Harold Glenn Patton of Arlington, Texas; and brothers-in-law, Robert Korenek and Samuel A. Garrett, both of Richland Springs, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Jo Buzzard and husband, Guy of Grapevine, Texas; three grand-daughters, April Garrett Moody and her husband, Russell of San Saba; Addyson and Anna Buzzard of Grapevine; a special daughter in spirit and love, Kathy Adams; one sister, Ola Fischer and her husband, Malcolm Fischer of New Braunfels, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jackie Faye Patton of Arlington, Texas and Doris Korenek of Richland Springs, Texas; several nieces, nephews and many family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home, Grapevine, Texas.
