Mrs. Waunetta Belle Cutting, died peacefully in the Merrimack County Nursing Home on October 26, 2017, in Franklin, New Hampshire, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Cutting is survived by her four children: Elizabeth Wolf of Marshall, Michigan, Lucinda Burnham of Concord, New Hampshire, William Cutting, III of Franklin, New Hampshire and James Cutting, Sr. of Sabattus, Maine and her four grandchildren Anne Marie Bell and Richard Bell, and James Cutting, Jr. and Stephanie Liscomb. She also is survived by six great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by four siblings, and her husband, William Cutting, Jr., who passed away in 1980.

Waunetta was born on June 24, 1927 in Kearney, Nebraska to William Gladson and Laura Sheldon Gladson. She was one of five children. She married William Cutting, Jr in 1950. Soon afterward, William built their family home on Runnells Road (sometimes referred to as Cutting Hill Road) in Concord, where they raised their four children and where she lived until 2010.

She enjoyed her work and worked for over 35 years as an Occupational Therapist for the New Hampshire Hospital. In spite of the daily health challenges she faced due to severe allergies, Waunetta was an avid crafter, loved to cook and was a talented seamstress. Before her illness she found great joy making and teaching ceramics. She loved flowers and for several years wore a respirator mask outside, which allowed her to continue gardening, in spite of her allergies. She also loved to travel and made several memorable trips around the United States with her daughter, Cindy.

From 2010 to 2016, Waunetta was lovingly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law, Will and Dolly Cutting, in their home in Franklin, New Hampshire. She spent the final year of her life in Merrimack County Nursing Home. Waunetta was comfortable and happy there, enjoying the simple things, such as an outing in the car with Will, ice cream and her view of the sunny courtyard from her window. The family would like to thank her caregivers at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, who added considerably to her quality of life.

Visiting hours are scheduled for 5 - 7 PM on Friday, November 3rd at Bennett Funeral Home located at 209 North Main Street in Concord, New Hampshire. A funeral service is scheduled the following morning, Saturday, November 4th at 10 AM, also at Bennett Funeral Home, with a committal service at Blossom Hill Cemetery, immediately following. A luncheon reception at Alan's of Boscawen, 133 North Main Street, Boscawen, New Hampshire will be held after the burial. All are welcome to attend.
