Wedad Halim Murphy (born Wedad Halim Keliny), of Corona, CA, departed to the Lord on January 8, 2018. She was the beloved daughter of Halim Marzouk Keliny and Selma Zaki Sharaby of Egypt, and wife of the late John Murphy of Massachusetts. She was the loving sister of Fr. Bishoy Halim and his wife, Gihan, of California; Samiha Abadeer and her husband, Deacon Nabeel, of California; Wagih Halim and his wife, Samia, of Egypt; Samia Botros and her husband, Talaat, of California; the late Hosny Keliny and his wife, Mona, of Canada; Sedky Keliny and his wife, Manal, of Egypt; and Amal Azer and her husband, Ehab, of California. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly: Sylvia Abadeer, wife of Nader Guirguis, of Canada; Peter Abadeer of California; Mina Halim and his wife, Sandra, of Egypt; Marina Halim and her husband, Mina, of Egypt; Mark Keliny of Egypt; Carol, wife of Fr. Moses Samaan, of California; Marsha, wife of Fr. Daniel Habib, of New Jersey; George and Joseph Keliny of Canada; Michel Azer and his wife, Maha, of Massachusetts; Andrew Azer of California; Ramez Sedky and his wife, Claire, of Egypt; Marianne Sedky of Egypt; and John, Jacques and Steven Keliny of California. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved as her own: Patrick, Nicole, Justin, Samuel, Aaron, Timothy, Hannah, Paul, Mira and Natalie. Funeral services will be at St. Abanoub and St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church in Norco, CA, on Saturday, January 13 at 10 AM, immediately preceded by a liturgy from 8-10 AM, and followed by a burial service at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA. May the Lord repose her soul in the bosom of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
