Wendell McCarroll Sr, age 71, born at his home in Albany, Louisiana on October 22, 1948. Wendell lived most of his life in Albany, however; he passed away in Pensacola, Florida where he was cared for by his family for the past five years. His daughter and son-in-law were both at his side until the end. He went to heaven in his recliner, listening to music and tapping his toe. He peacefully passed on Monday, July 27, 2020. He was a retired member of the Carpenters Local 1098. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Barker McCarroll; father, Elmore McCarroll, Sr., and brother, Elmore J. Mccarroll, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie McCarroll Doyle and Jason Doyle; son, Wendell McCarroll, Jr.; step-grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" Doyle and Emily Doyle Bandurski.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the pavilion at Saint Margaret Cemetery, 30300 Catholic Hall Rd, Albany, LA 70711. Burial will take place at section 1, row 5, plot 18 in the cemetery.
