Johnson, Wesley C. "Skip", Jr. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday, February 6, 2017.

Beloved husband of Mary Lou Johnson (nee Ronzio); dear father of Mary Jo, Joy (Todd) Stassel, Keith (Kim), and Jennifer Johnson; dear grandfather of Julia (Dave), Alisha (Shannon), Adam, Matt (Monik), Zach, Kristen, and Alyssa; dear brother of Carolyn (Bill) Heaton, her family, Christine (Frank) Topping, Mike, Dacia, Brian, and Mark (Cindy); Virginia (Ed) Ekstedt, her family, Terri (Paula), Jimmy, Ellie, Wendy (David) Williams, Ryan (April) Green, Kelsey, Russell, and Daniel; and Josephine (Gary) Leiendecker, her family, Ami (Dave), Ben Kohlberg, Scott; our dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Skip was formerly the owner of St. John's Hardware & co-owner of Action Presentation with his brother-in-law and friend, Gary Leiendecker.

Even though Skip and Mary Lou traveled extensively, the most prized vacations were with his family on Captiva Island, Florida. He spent many family weekends at the Johnson-Leiendecker Farm in Cuba, Missouri; fishing, swimming, and (Skippy and Gary) playing farmer on their tractors.

Skip was an avid St. Louis Blues and Cardinals fan. He loved to skate and play ice-hockey; hanging up his hockey skates at the age of 54. He traded them in for rollerblades in order to skate with his grandkids. For many year, Skip was a member of the Italia-American Bocce Club on the Hill. Skip also enjoyed music. He and Mary Lou were Muny Season ticket holders for over 50 years. Skip played the ukulele and was a member of the St. Louis Ukulele Club. In addition, he was a member of the Parkinson's Association choir (apply named the Tremble Clefs Chorus).

Skip believed in doing for others. He volunteered at Wings of Hope, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the St. Augustine-Welston Center for many years.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to his care-givers, Lynn Duhe, Ahlesha Bledsoe, and BJC Hospice for their tireless and compassionate care of Skip. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Jo and Gary Leiendecker and our next-door neighbors, Roberta, Idella, and Caleb Bledsoe, for always being there for us.

Skip donated his body to St. Louis University School of Medicine Center for Anatomical Science and Education.

Our family would like to thank you for all of your love, prayers, and support. Your kindness will remain in our hearts forever.
