Dammann, Wilbur A. Jan 29, 1932 - Sep 21, 2017 Wilbur Albert Dammann was born to his parents at home in Beatrice, Nebraska, on January 29, 1932. He was the third child of Bill and Martha Dammann. Wilbur was baptized following his birth and confirmed his faith at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wymore, Nebraska. He joined the US Army on September 10, 1952 and served in the Korean Conflict where he obtained the rank of Sergeant (T). Wilbur married Marian Helena Schmidt on April 15, 1956 and settled in Wymore. Wilbur and Marian were blessed with three children, Linda, James, and Allen. He was a 30 year Civil Service Employee serving at Mead, NE, and Offutt Air Force Base. Wilbur had been an active member of First Lutheran Church and then Lamb of God Ev. Lutheran Church and Acadamy up to the last year of his life. He is preceded in to death by his wife, Marian (Schmidt) Dammann; parents, William Frederick and Martha (Meyn) Dammann; brothers: LaVerne, Billy and Paul Dammann; sister, Wilma (Dammann) Jost; his father-and mother-in-law, Louis and Anna Schmidt. Wilbur is survived by his children: daughter, Linda Sue Dammann, Papillon; son, James and Linda Ann (Anderson) Dammann, Columbus, NE; son, Allen and Christina (Hauck) Dammann, Papilion; brother, Dean Dammann, Tustin, CA; sisters-in-law, Arlene Overbeck of Beatrice, NE, and Madeleine Dammann of Seward, NE; and many nephews and nieces. FUNERAL SERVICES: Monday, 11am, First Lutheran Church, Papillion. VISITATION: Sunday at Mortuary from 1-5pm. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Lincoln, NE.
