Middlesex Wilbur C. Bond 81, Died March 29, 2015. Wilbur was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Irvington, NJ before moving to Middlesex in 1967. He was employed as an inventory clerk for over 30 years at Mayfair Foods in Edison. After his retirement he worked for the Bound Brook School District as a crossing guard for over ten years. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War serving as Private First Class. He was a member of the First United Methodist in Somerville. He was an avid NY Giants football fan and was a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt, one of the greatest drivers in auto racing history. He will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are his wife Madeline, his daughters, Patricia Bond and Linda Del Monte and her husband Robert and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Bruce Van Arsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
