Almeida, Wilfred "Bill" Edmond Sr., 95, of Chester, went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his beautiful bride of 64 years, Joyce Ann Cumbie Almeida, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Augusta and Anna Almeida; one brother and six sisters. He is survived by his children, Brenda Williamson (Emmett), Wilfred Almeida Jr. (Becky), Terry Almeida (Linda) and Beverly Zervakis (Ronald); 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members. Bill dedicated over 30 years of his life working for E.I. DuPont, where he served as president of the union for the Ampthill Rayon Workers. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 4400 Beulah Rd. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd. Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 .
