Memorial services will be held for Willard Russell Berry on Thursday June 15 at 11 am at the Tillamook United Methodist Church. Willard was born September 25, 1925 in Salem, Oregon to Marvin and Freda (Garrison) Berry and passed away June 7, 2017 in Tillamook, Oregon at the age of 91. Willard is a graduate of Lebanon High School and Oregon State University getting his degree in Forestry. Willard served in the Air Force during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946 but continued with the Army Air Corp until he was 60 years old. Willard worked for the Forestry Department for many years. He was also very active in the community including; member of the Tillamook Elk's Lodge, Kiawanis Club, Tillamook County Historical Society, member of the Son's and Daughter's Pioneers Genealogy Group, Tillamook JC's Club, Tillamook Planning Committee, Tillamook City and Tillamook School District Budget Committee, 4-H Advisory Committee, served on several United Methodist Church committees, Army Reserve Officers Association and the Oregon State Alumni member. Willard is survived by his wife Dorothy of Tillamook, OR. 3 children, Alan Berry(Diane) of Astoria, OR., Timothy Berry(Paula) of Tillamook, OR. and Rosan Hallstrom(Steve) also of Tillamook, OR. Grandchildren Braden Bell(Karla), Ryan Berry, Kevin Berry(Courtney) & Stephanie Leger. Great Grandchildren Braylen & Allison Bell. He also had many Nieces and Nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Maintenance Fund. Arrangements in care of Waud's Funeral Home, Tillamook.
