Mr. William "Billy" Busbee, of Poulan died Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Johnson will officiate.
Mr. Busbee was born on March 3, 1945 in Poulan to the late William A. and Virginia Clark Busbee. He had lived in Poulan all his life. Mr. Busbee was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He worked for Queen Carpet as a Technician. Mr. Busbee enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, shrimping, reading, working on old cars, watching TV and, in his younger days, riding motorcycles. He was a member of Faith Community Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Della Bishop Busbee of Poulan; children, Shane Busbee (Pam) of Wilacoochee, Larry Gray (Charolett) of Dade City, FL, Joe Gray (Tammy) of Poulan, Doug Gray (Angel) of Poulan; grandchildren, Christian N. Lovett, Virginia Busbee, Stacy Gray, Tracy Gray, Tony Gray, Keith Gray, Casey Gray, J.R. Gray, Matt Gray and Timmy Gray and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Busbee was preceded in death by a grandson, William Busbee and a brother, David Busbee.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
