William E. Hetrich, 77, Montrose Manor, died Nov. 2, 2007, at 4:20 a.m. at home. He was the husband of Doris M. (Guinther) Hetrich. Born April 17, 1930, in Reading, he was a son of the late Elmer and Leona H. (Brunner) Hetrich. He worked as a supervisor and car inspector of the mechanical department for Conrail Railroad, Philadelphia and Reading, for 43 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge, West Reading; a former member of Kissinger Grange, West Reading Lion’s Club and Council, as well as the planning commission of West Reading; a former vice president of the Social Club of West Reading; and a former trustee of the American Club of Reading. Also surviving are three sons: William B., husband of Jane Hetrich, and Randy S. Hetrich, both of Montrose Manor; and Ricky S., husband of Tammy Hetrich, West Wyomissing. Other survivors include four grandchildren: Benjamin, Shane, Eric and Cody; and a stepgranddaughter, Anika Morgen. Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles Galley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Berks Visiting Nurse Assn., 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
