William E. Reynolds (Bill) passed away on January 27, 2017. Born in St. Petersburg on June 9, 1924 to Harold Thomson Reynolds and Alice Dixon Reynolds. Graduated from St. Petersburg High in 1942 where he lettered in football, basketball and track and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2003. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, Southeastern Conference Society of the Spiked Shoe, lettered at UF in track in 1947 and 1948, member of the Gator baseball team in 1949. He served his nation as a Captain in the Infantry in the US Army in WW II and the Korean War. He was employed by the American Can Company as Supervisor of Accounting. Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Jane Lee Reynolds. He is survived by his twin daughters, Linda Reynolds Cone (Rammy) and Lauri Reynolds Hardeman (Gary); 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Tampa, 412 E. Zack St., Tampa. In honor of his love for The Florida Gators,please wear orange and blue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Metropolitan Ministries.
