RULON, William E., born September 3, 1932 in Clayton, MO to Elwood and Justine (nee Ottofy) Rulon. He graduated Clayton High School in 1950 and went on the University of Missouri, earning both his BS in 1954 and JD in 1959. He served in the Army between degrees. He also earned an Honorary PhD as Provocateur.

His work with Ralston Purina brought him to San Diego in 1973, where he finished his career with Foodmaker Inc. As hard as he worked, he played even harder. He was an extraordinary athlete in every sport he played. He was a golf addict, loved softball, and was crazy about Over the Line where he became known as "The Claw".

He was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Rulon; mother, Justine Rulon; sister, Frances Rulon; and grandson, Nathan Stephens. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly Barnes Rulon; son, Thomas Rulon; daughter; Diana Stephens; and grandchildren, Bella and Dane Stephens.

SERVICES: Private interment in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Memorial service 11am Thursday, June 8, 2017 Central Presbyterian Church 7700 Davis, St. Louis, MO 63105 followed by a reception. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of your choice.
