William 'Willie' J. Guidetti of Carver formerly of Plymouth died peacefully on June 16 at Golden Living Center of Plymouth. He is the beloved husband of E. Marie (Coffey) Guidetti. Loving father of Donna Guidetti , Gina MacPhail and Lynn Guidetti all of Plymouth. Step father of Michael Diodato and Ann Diodato Warren and the late William Diodato and Lisa Diodato. Brother of Flora Ledo of Plymouth and the late Robert Guidetti and Helen Owens. Cherished grandfather of Taryn Farnham and James MacPhail. Step grandfather of Andrea Leonard, Shane Rizzo, Jessica Ellis, Shawna Warren, Kristi Warren and the late Corinne Diodato Neil. Also survived by several step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Plymouth on August 24, 1928 son of the late Ercole and Esterina Guaraldi Guidetti.He was educated in Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth High School class of 1947. He entered the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Willie was a longtime employee of the Plymouth Water Department for over 35 years. An avid sports fan he was inducted into the Plymouth Hall of Fame in 2007 and volunteered at Plymouth high school football games working the "chain gang". A proud member of the American Legion Post #40 Plymouth, he enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Visiting hours in the Cartmell Funeral Home 150 Court St. Plymouth on Wednesday June 21st from 5-8 pm. Funeral Service on Thursday at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home followed by burial in Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.
