SEYBERT, William Jennings, Jr., age 80, born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 2, 1937, passed on November 17, 2017, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, William Jennings Seybert, in 1951, his mother, Dorothy Marguerite Gerdes Seybert, in 1991, and his sister, Suzanne Marie Stewart, in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Adrien Paige Seybert, of Boulder, Colorado; a brother, Andrew Frederick Seybert (Brita), of Lexington, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews, and his loving caregiver, Judy. He was a 1955 graduate of Fairmont High School, Kettering, Ohio; a 1960 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering, and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. A tenth-generation American, Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, having served in the United States Air Force as a first lieutenant. He acquired an MBA in 1967 from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He was a licensed professional engineer in the state of Ohio and the founder and president of Southern Extruded Shapes, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio, and West Harrison, Indiana, for over 30 years where he was known to give a job to those less fortunate than himself. Bill loved music, especially the Big Bands, and dancing was a passion. He was a self-taught artist. He is also remembered for his extreme fondness of dogs and gave many strays a good home. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio. A private burial will be at Shiloh Park Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice, your favorite patriotic organization, or to your local animal welfare group.
