William J. Orsinger Jr., 82, of Harrisburg passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Born June 9, 1935, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Pearl Orsinger. William was a United States Army Veteran that took pride in being a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. After his military career, he provided for his family working as a plumber for C.F. Acri and Son, Inc. In his time away from work, he enjoyed bowling, the outdoors, whether it be hunting or fishing, and riding all the roller coasters at Hershey Park. He was a very loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to those who he is survived by, which is, one son, William M; three daughters, Leta Benedict, Jada Gilbert and husband Gerald, Tea Snead; daughter-in-law Patricia Orsinger; one sister Ruth Marie Marsh and husband Richard; as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Along with his parents William was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara (Ankerbrandt) Orsinger; one son Steven Orsinger and one granddaughter Megan Orsinger. Services have been entrusted to Neumyer Funeral home, 1334 N. 2nd St. Harrisburg, PA 17102. There, a visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm and a burial service will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 112 Sipe Ave, Hummelstown, PA 17036 or to Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Dr Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
