William Leslie Warner, 64, of Greensboro went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January, 17, 2016. He was born to the late Donald Gordon Warner and Barbara Jackson Warner Winn in Rochester, NY on March 3, 1951.

Bill attended grade school in Greensboro and after attending Memorial High School in Houston, Texas he got his GED in 1969. He spent a few years as an independent insurance agent but decided that he was happier working with his hands. He then trained as a machinist using his natural, God given, skills with tools to become very successful at rebuilding valves, gears, and other machine parts for major industries at Wright Roller Co for many years. Bill said he was happiest when rebuilding, from scratch, very intricate parts for machines.

He enjoyed fishing more than any activity but was a good golfer, water skier, swimmer and teller of tales. Bill loved his family, especially his grandkids, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. He has pictures of family all over his living room and computer area.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Wanda Moran Warner; daughter, Amy Warner Meadows and husband Brent of Tennessee; Stepson, Eddie Cardwell and wife Beth of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jeff Warner and wife Phyllis of Salisbury, NC; sister, Penny Warner Lovell and Husband Bob of Summerfield, NC; sister, Donna Warner Regitz of College Station, Texas; uncle, John Warner of Johnstown, NY whose wife Dede was recently deceased (Bill's favorite aunt); nieces, Angela Warner Davis and husband Will of Pawley's Island, SC, Shannon Warner Bonisch and husband Marc of Charlotte, NC, Stephanie Lovell of Greensboro, NC, Amy Regitz Casey and husband David of College Station, Texas, and Kim Regitz Hampton of Houston, Texas; nephews, Johnny Waller and wife Connie of Woodleaf, NC, and Rob Lovell and wife Erica of Florida; grandsons, Connor Meadows and Jackson Cardwell; granddaughter, Samantha Cardwell; grandnieces, Lanie Davis, Katelyn Bonisch, Leila Lovell, Andi Paige Hampton and Britany Bailey; grand nephews, William Davis, Zane Davis, Zachary Bonisch, Max Hampton, Owen, Liam, and Caleb Casey, Joshua Waller and Wife Miranda and Jonathan Waller. He also has two great grandnieces and two great grandnephews.
