William M. Postrk, age 89, of Plymouth, died on Sept. 9, 2017 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth. He was the devoted husband of the late Pauline F. Romandetta and, before her, of the late Helen Postrk. Born in the Bronx, NY, on February 11, 1928, he was a son of the late Methodious and Helen (Gurtier) Postrk. He was educated in New York City and attended trade school, where he became a certified auto mechanic. William entered the U.S. Army, where he proudly served in Japan right after World War II. Upon his honorable discharge, he started his own trucking company, hauling fruits and vegetables across the country. He later worked as the manager of the parts department for the Bronx-Westchester Mack Corp. for more than 25 years. He moved to Plymouth from Pearl River, NY in 2011. William enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, collecting coins, and watching the Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Julie Romandetta, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 15th, 2017 at the Davis Funeral & Cremation Home, 619 State Rd., Manomet (Plymouth) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the Davis Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bonaventure's Church, 802 State Rd., Manomet at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
