William "Bill" O'Reilly, Jr., 85, of Avona Heights, Wilson Borough, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Easton Hospital. Born January 13, 1930, in Oakland, ME, he was a son of the late William Sr. and Loretta Castonguay O'Reilly. He and his wife, the former Mary Jane Collar, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 13, 2014. Bill graduated from Williams High School in Maine and Churchman's Business School. He retired in 1974 as a master sergeant after 23 years of service in the US Army, serving during both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He retired in 1995 as office manager of Merkin Body & Hoist, Wilson Borough, where he worked for 17 years. Bill enjoyed golfing and crossword puzzles, and was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his wife, Jane, are two sons, William G. and his wife Donna, of Blairstown, NJ and Michael A. and his wife Karen, of Davenport, FL; three daughters, Carole Yoder and her husband Kevin, of Virginia Beach, VA, Kathleen Zetune and her husband David, of Oxford, PA and Mary Altorfer and her husband Chuck, of Palmer Township; a brother, David, of Commerce City, Colorado; a sister, Georgia Goodridge, of Springfield, MA and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Arthur and Charles O'Reilly and two sisters, Elizabeth and Katherine O'Reilly. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
