William R. Neely, 79, of Epsom died peacefully surrounded by his family at Concord Hospital on Thursday, June 15, 2017.
Bill was born in Butler, PA on February 6, 1938, the son of Donald and Grace (Shuttleworth) Neely. He received an Associates degree from Washington College in Maryland and participated on the lacrosse team. Bill continued his education at Danbury State College in CT where he played on the soccer team.
He was employed for many years with Northern Telecom in Concord as an Industrial Engineer. Bill worked for Parker French antiques for more than 30 years. He was also a skilled artist and award winning photographer.

Bill had a love for sport and participated in various softball leagues for 20 plus years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and despite being a quiet gentle man he was the ultimate competitor. Bill loved his local professional teams. His love for the Sox surpassed only by a deep hatred of the Bronx Bombers. Bill enjoyed the outdoors whether simply lying in the sun or meticulously maintaining his lawn.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Carol A (Kohler) Neely in 2014 and his father, Donald Neely in 1981.

Members of his family include his children, Corrine Cassavaugh and her husband, Terry of Barnstead, Colleen Rousseau and her husband, Gary of Hooksett, William Neely and his fiancée, Chelsea and her children, Gavin and Giada of Epsom; grandchildren, Joshua O'Shea, Sarah-Beth Dey, Coleton Neely, Lilly Simpson Neely, Conrad Neely, Tessa Cassavaugh and Holly Cassavaugh; three great-grandchildren, Max, Karlee and Tanner; mother, Grace Neely of NY; a brother, David Neely and his wife, Edie of NY; and many other close relatives and friends that will deeply miss him. Bill will be missed greatly by his two dogs, Diego and Penny who will continue to live with his family.

Calling hours will be held from 3pm-6pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. Concord. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6pm at the funeral home.
