William was born on September 12, 1928 and passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

William was a resident of Elkins, West Virginia at the time of his passing.

He entered ERC Artillery Unit of the United States Army on January 17, 1951. He served in the Korean War in Germany until his Honorable Discharge on December 3, 1952. He served in the USAR Ready Reserve until February 18, 1957.

He was married to Willa Mae Lowther.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 16th from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bobbie Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman where full military honors will be accorded at the gravesite by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program, H.W.
