She truly loved people and was quick to hug everyone she came in contact with. She truly believed if the world would hug more, it would be a better place. She believed a hug created instant bonding. One of her favorite quotations was "love", isn't love, until you give it away. Willie gave lots of love away via her hug.

Willie retired her Real Estate business in 1979 when Lou retired and together, they enjoyed traveling, fishing and exploring our beautiful country and abroad. She enjoyed oil painting, needle work, music, guitar and piano. She always felt her greatest achievement was being a dedicated loving wife and mother. She was a stay at home mom until her children were out of high school. She loved the Lord and served Him by witnessing through acts of kindness and help to others in need.
