Winifred Aitkenhead Johnson passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2016. Winifred, or "Win," was born on December 17th, 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Jane Aitkenhead. Winifred moved to Kansas City where she attended Westport High School and was one of the few women in her class to graduate from Kansas City Junior College in 1940. In 1942 Win met a young soldier, Robert Johnson, who became the love of her life. The two married on August 9, 1942 and moved to Oklahoma City in 1945. She worked as a Volunteer Coordinator for Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City for many years and was involved in numerous community service organizations including: service as a Pink Lady at Presbyterian Hospital; quilt-maker for needy babies at Infant Crisis Services; and service as a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she cooked mobile meals and served as a Deacon for many years. She also loved to travel, sew, and spend time with her family.

Win is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson, whom she loved deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Johnson of Oklahoma City, her son, Robert Johnson of Panama and her two grandsons, Forrest Johnson and Hank Johnson. Services for Win will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Win's name to her favorite charity: Infant Crisis Services, a non-profit organization that provides life-sustaining formula, clothes, and diapers to needy infants in Oklahoma.

Arrangements under the direction of Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors, Oklahoma City, OK.
