Zada M. Sharon

Zada Sharon, 89, of Campo, died Oct. 16, 2012.
She was one of the last living Harvey Girls from the famous Harvey House eateries in the Southwest. In 1942, she met an Army Air Corps pilot named John Bailey Sharon, the love of her life.
Zada supported John as an educator for more than four decades. Before living in Lake Morena Village for the past 32 years, the family resided in La Mesa. She was predeceased by John in 1988 and by granddaughter Marsha Vaughn Sharon in 1971. She is survived by six children, their spouses, 17 grand children and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, at 3 p.m. at the Lake Morena Community Church. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Mountain Empire Homemakers Association– Scholarships, P.O. Box 64, Campo CA 91906.
