Born July 19, 1926 - Deceased July 23, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen P. Edgar announces her passing on July 23, 2017 at age 91. She was preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Nellie Edgar, her sister Nellie White and her brothers and their wives William Bruce and Maxine Edgar and Lawrence and Carol Edgar. Eileen was a native of Chicago, Illinois; however, she loved the desert and made Palm Springs her home for over 55 years.

Eileen's Catholic faith was of utmost importance in her life. She was a parishoner of St. Theresa's Church in Palm Springs. She lived her faith well and was always gracious and generous toward others. Her quick wit and winning smile were hallmarks of her personality. She was affectionately known by her family as "Sweet Eileen".

She is survived by her foster sister Rosalie D'Amore, her faithful canine friend "Angel", and numerous nieces and nephews of the Edgar and D'Amore families.

Eileen will be missed by all who knew her.

A Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church beginning at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 4th with a luncheon to follow. A graveside service will be held at 1:30PM on the same day at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City.

The family would like to thank the staff of DRMC 2 and 4 East, Serenity Hospice and Visiting Angels for their compassion and professionalism while caring for our own "Sweet Eileen".
