Ray Calvin Holmes,62, of Jackson,died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Jackson-Madison County Hospital. Mr. Holmes was a logger, Graveside services for Mr. Holmes will be held at Yorkville Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Holmes will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Survivors include two children, Stacie Holmes Hanley, of Newbern, TN and Robin Holmes of Jackson, TN; four sisters, Janice Haskins, Sandra Crawford and Linda Webb all of Jackson, TN, and Rachel Cupples of Finger, TN,;one brother Udell Holmes of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Emily Roberts Taylor, Savannah Holmes, Breanna Holmes and Georgia Holmes; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Taylor & Nathan Taylor.
Mr. Holmes was preceeded in death by his parents Hershel & Ruth Griffin Holmes; one sister,Gracey Holmes Barner and three brothers, Billy Holmes, Royce Holmes and Bobby Holmes.
