Dora Catherine Rogers, 87, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. A daughter of the late Melvin and Minnie Butchek Wright, she was born July 24, 1918 in Texarkana, Texas. She was the widow of Louis Allen Rogers, was a former secretary and was a member of the Ola Chapter # 386 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include a son, Guy Rogers of Naples, Florida; two daughters: Marilyn Kinsey of Cedar Park, Texas; and Vivian Jones of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Len Blaylock of Nimrod; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted by Shinn Funeral Service at 3 P.M., on Saturday, March 25, 2006 with Rev. Mike Hairston officiating. Burial will be in the Nimrod Cemetery .
