Grandpa was 89 when he passed away and he was about to turn 90 the month after..our family was planning a surprise 90th birthday party for him..unfortunately we never got to celebrate it with him, but we still had the party for him in his memory. My grandfather got to live to see 5 generations.. 3 months before he passed away I gave birth to his GREAT GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER. My grandpa was also in the US Navy on air crafts..he never talked much about it until he met my husband who is in the Navy. It amazes me because I feel like my grandma sent my husband to me..grandma was once a military wife and now I am. My grandmother passed away April 18, 2001..I took that extremely hard but on the bright side of it all I still had grandpa. Grandpa talked about her allllll the time and how he wanted to be with her again. I know they are once again together and they will be forever. I love you grandpa and I miss you so much, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. RIP <3
