Kathryn Herd wrote on 5/17/2008: Hi Honey, I love you. I am trying to make it without you, but I am having a hard time. I miss you . I can't seem to make a decision anymore. You were the reason I was living , and now I really don't have one, that I can find. You are always in my heart. You would have been proud to see Mason being Dedicated last Sunday. And Sam finishes up kindergarten the 4th of June. I babysat Gagae last week. He is a cute one. He was looking for you. Honey I hope you are able to hear my heart, because you are in it every instant. all my love, Kathryn Kathy Herd wrote on 2/2/2008: Good night honey .I love you with all my heart. Beth & Chris Baker wrote on 2/1/2008: Kathryn ("Mia"); Judy & Kermit; Kamy & C.J.; Ollie & Andy; Mike & Vic; Kevin & Debbie: Kenneth was a good husband, father and "Papa" to his entire family. Chris and I both grieve with you and of course our prayers are with you. I took my red carnation from the funeral and placed it at Kelli's grave yesterday. Oh, how she loved "Papa" and each and every one of you! God Bless you and The Lord keep you each and every day of this new chapter in your lives. Love, Beth & Chris Don Williams wrote on 1/30/2008: I first met Kenneth and his family in 1976, when my brother Kermit and Judy were dating. They were a very interactive family and I remember watch Kenneth pitching baseball underhanded to Mike and Kevin in front of their home. The man did love baseball! In 1977, I went to Texas Tech, Kenneth and his family welcomed me into their home as if I was one of their own. They truely made me feel welcomed. Kenneth hired me to help him, Mike and Kevin roof houses so I could earn some spending money while going to college. I learned a lot from Him about roofing during that year and a half and had a lot of fun with Mike and Kevin. The important thing I learn from from him was to get an education--Roofing is too hard and hot! I remember Kenneth sitting in his easy chair on Sunday afternoon, after going to church and eating lunch with his family, enjoying a pipe of tobacco, reading the paper and watching the ball games. Well Kenneth, you finally hit that big home run, you've rounded third and have made it that big Home Plate in the sky. We will miss you, but when I hear that crack of thunder, I will say that's just Kenneth hitting another ball! To the family, we love you all.
