Rosemond G. Swan, 74, of 7934 Lake Street, Culver, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at 5:43 p.m., at her home. Rose was born on August 31, 1935, in Curtis, Michigan, to Marian Griffith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Rose had lived in the Plymouth and Culver areas for the past seven years. Rose is survived by her daughter; Geneva Van Houten of Crystal, Michigan; her sons, Herman Maxon of Monterey, Indiana, Francis Maxon of Missouri, Jeff Maxon of Michigan, and Phil Maxon of Culver; her sisters, Grace Cole of Plymouth and Bonnie Lee of Culver; her brothers, Rex Allen, Pat Allen of DeLong, Indiana, and Russ Allen of DeLong; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral services. VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME is handling the arrangements.
