Richard Stephen Stolz
May 12, 1947 – November 5, 2009
Richard Stephen Stolz 62 of Somerville passed Thursday at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Irene Stolz. Mr. Stolz was retired from AT&T with 30 years of service. He was a member, trustee and Sunday school teacher of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and a free Mason Lunar lodge #918 of F &A.M. of Madison.
He is survived by his wife Ruby E. Stolz, children Melissa McMinemon and her husband Robert of Somerville and Charles “Chuck” Stolz of Decatur. Grandchildren Eric Stolz and his wife Ashley, Joshua McMinemon and Jessica McMinemon. Sister Sandra Stolz Smith Father in law J. Preston Pettie and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 9 pm at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Decatur. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home with Visitation starting at 11 am at Valhalla Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
