Bridgewater Joseph W. Ambs 79, died November 17, 2009. He is predeceased by his first wife Jean who died in 1968 and his second wife Lucille who died in 2006 and three siblings. Surviving are a son Kurt and his wife June, two daughters, Susan Swinsburg and her husband Bruce and Karen Munro and her husband Bill, a sister Mary Frances Ambs, seven grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Prayers will be said 8:30am Monday at the Bruce C. Van Arsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville followed by a 9:30am mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Visitation will be 2-6pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Knights of Columbus Somerville Council 1432, 495 East Main St. Somerville, N J 08876.
