Joseph Barone Joseph F. Barone of Blue Bell, PA on Thursday, October 14, 2010, age 89. Born in Norristown, PA on April 24, 1921 he was the son of the late Gaspare and Frances (Interrante) Barone. Joseph has lived in Blue Bell, PA since 1952, formerly of Norristown, PA. He was a member of St. Helena's RC Church of Blue Bell. He owned and operated DeKalb Produce and DeKalb Shopping Center with his late wife Candida for 58 years before retiring and his son now runs DeKalb Produce. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a Heavy Machine Gunner with Battery C 505th where he received the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars. He also ran reunions for Battery C 505th for many years after the war. He enjoyed dancing, music and traveling to Florida, and horses he also owned 2 race horses. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. Joseph is survived by 2 sons: Joseph Barone of Blue Bell and Glenn (Diane) Barone of Audubon; 3 daughters: Beverly (Jim) Nelson of East Norriton, Deborah (Guy) Fiorention of East Norriton and Lisa (John) Betts of Ambler; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Helena RC Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell with Ft. Joseph J. Nicolo officiating. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the church. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA. Joseph's family would appreciate Mass Cards in his memory.
